Be lifted up O Ye Gates!

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in. Who is the King of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Praying Victoriously During Specific Times of the 24hr. Day

Scripture: Prov.4:7, 24:3, Isaiah 56:7

This teaching is inspired by Apostle Abu Bako who wrote “Praying through the Gates of Time”

Prov. 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding.”
Prov. 24:3 ”Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established.”
Isaiah 56:7 “………..My house shall be called a house of prayer for all Nations…”

Gates – literally means opening/exit/pathway to/from. At the gates of cities courts of justice were frequently held, and hence “judges of the gates” are spoken of (Duet. 16:18; 17:8; 21:19; 25:6,7 etc.). At the gates prophets also frequently deliver their messages (Prov. 1:21; 8:3; Isa. 29:21; Jer. 17:19, 20; 26:10). Criminals were punished without the gates (1 Kings 21:13; Acts 7:59). By the “gates of righteousness” we are probably to understand those of the temple (Ps. 118:19). “The gates of hell” (R.V., “gates of hades”) Matt. 16:18 are generally interpreted as meaning the power of Satan, counsels/wisdom but can also mean the power of death, stating that the Church of Christ shall never die.

Every community has a gate. Where the devil has walked in, he has to step back out. There is a gate to Spanish Town, for many years the spirit of religion, witchcraft and jezebel has been guarding the gates. It is time for the King of Glory to come in. There will be resistance. The gates to Frazer’s Content have been guarded for many years.

It is time for the intercessors to take up their position in the gates. It is time to be bold.

Matt 16:18 “…The gates of hell shall not prevail….”
The enemy’s strategy must be dismantled. We must be strategic with time.

According to Abu Bako time is divided moments, seconds, minutes, hours, watches, days, weeks, months, seconds, years, decades, generations, centuries, millennia and eternity. God has so divided time that there is not a portion of time that we cannot take back what the enemy has stolen from us.

John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy….”
We can use time wisely, we can be effective.

Watches – The periods into which the time between sunset and sunrise was divided. They are so called because watchmen relieved each other at each of these periods. There are frequent references in scripture to the duties of watchmen who were appointed to give notice of the approach of an enemy (2 Sam. 18:24-27; 2 Kings 9:17-20; Isa. 21:5-9). They were sometimes placed for this purpose on watch-towers (2 Kings 17:9; 18:8). Ministers or teachers are also spoken of under this title (Jer. 6:17; Ezek 33:2-9; Heb. 13:17). The watches of the night were originally three in number, (1) “the beginning of the watches” (Lam. 2:19); (2) “the middle watch” (Judg. 7:19); and (3) “the morning watch” (Ex. 14:24; 1 Sam. 11:11), which extended from two o’clock to sunrise. But in the New Testament we read of four watches, a division probably introduced by the Romans (Matt. 14:25; Mark 6:48; Like 12:38).

God is calling us to the watch tower this is not at ground level. We must make observations – looking for things unusual, out of place.

Gates of Time – Praying at different times of a 24-hour day (both day and night) or any measure of time e.g. weeks, months, seasons to bring forth different victories/breakthroughs.

Remember our adversary the devil also has specific times that he expects his servants to work with for causing damage, chaos, wickedness, death and destruction, etc. These days include Friday the 13th, October 31 which is celebrated worldwide as Halloween means ‘All hallows eve’, the day before All saints day (Nov.1). The beginning of witches’ new year happens to be October 31.

In the realms of satan they pay great attention to time, Halloween is a day of human sacrifice. The church must become sensitive to time. We must begin to intercede and pray observing the different times for prayer.

1st Watch of daylight – 6 am – 9 am

Pray for extreme favor, fresh anointing, outpouring of healing (Ps 101:6, Acts1:8). Expect to receive a fresh anointing, healing and uncommon favor.
2nd Watch 9 am – 12 noon

Pray for manifestation of God’s promises, cleansing of things that would hinder the manifestations (Col 3:11, Ezek 36: 25-38). Receive a new heart for the new move, new outlook. God is ready to give us the land but we are saying we are grasshoppers and there are giants to contend with.
3rd Watch 12 noon – 3 pm

Pray for your health to spring forth speedily, to renew protection from the spirit of death. Stand against the wiles of the enemy. (Isa. 58:10; Psa. 91:5; 55:17; 37:3-6). Any president of the USA must be inaugurated at 12 noon it is in the constitution. When a nation understands the signs, what about the church? We are a holy nation a peculiar people, we must understand the significance of time. God must hear our voices at noon time. We need an alarm to go off in our spirit at noonday. A time to raise the level. Victories – God will be your shield and buckler.

4th Watch 3 pm – 6 pm 9th hour of the day

Pray for an outpouring of God Spirit, miracles, signs, wonders. (Acts 3:1; 10:30-32). The outpouring of the spirit took place. God honors your time of prayer. Pray that God will honor your habit of prayer.
1st Watch of the night 6 pm – 9 pm Start of the Jewish Day.

Pray for divine beginning (Psa. 89:14; 97:2). At the end of the day we must analyze what went on throughout the day time. We must inspect it as an intercessor and see what did not line up with the will of God and cancel it so that it is not carried forward into the new day. This must be stopped in the gates.
2nd Watch 9 pm -12 midnight

Pray over your family.
Time to make declarations, speaking and declaring things. Speaking with authority as an intercessor, time to pace the floor as an intercessor and stop evil works. Pray in your home, go outside or on your roof top – to pluck up, root up, throw down, destroy and build and plant. The prophetic anointing is also to build and to plant the things of God. Root out false doctrines, and plant doctrines of the Lord Jesus Christ.
3rd Watch 12 midnight – 3 am

Pray for the taking back of stolen divine destinies or promises. (1 Kings 3:20). At midnight there was a switch, an unholy switch. As a church, intercessors we sleep when God is saying wake up. There are times when the enemy will try to switch our destiny with something that is dead. The enemy knows when to make the switch. While we sleep the enemy is switching our divine destinies. Wake Up – watch over your baby, your ministry, your marriage, your family the church. We are sleeping too much while the enemy is creeping in and steeling destinies. (Ruth 3:1-10) Time to pray for marriages. Time for the release of favor. The birthing of businesses that God has put in your spirit a long time ago.
4th Watch 3 am – 6 am

Pray that God will arise and the enemy be scattered. (Psa. 68:1; Ex. 14:24). This time of watch is when witches to engage in astral projections. This is the time when the body falls into its deepest sleep. (Matt 13:25 “But while men slept his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way”. John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy”). The intercessor who has power with God will cause prison doors to open and set the captives free. We must be effective in this season.
Declare:

Lord I am ready to step up to the next level of dedication to prayer. I am ready to wake up when you tell me. I am ready to stand, to embrace the cross of Calvary. I am ready to resist come what may. I am ready to stand under your anointing until I see the victory of your breakthrough for this nation as the water covers the sea.
